The Market Street Drive-In opened at 7:45 p.m. on August 26, 1948. The premier feature was “Relentless” with Robert Young and Marguerite Chapman. The Market Street Drive-In advertised “room for 670 cars, loud-speaker for each car”. In 1972 it was taken over by McLendon Theatres. It was closed on August 24, 1975.
It was demolished in October 1975. An Anheuser-Busch beer distribution center now stands on the Market Street Drive-In site.

I just wish i would have saved all those BOXOFFICE mags, we ALL threw away. However, unlike you I did save a few!
