The Ada Theatre opened sometime in the late-1930’s, seating was listed at 766. The theatre closed in the late-1950’s. It was located two doors down from the former Ritz Theatre. It became a bar and in recent years is in use as a Subway take away restaurant.

July 7th, 1936 grand opening ad in photo section. The listings stopped in 1955.

The Ada Theatre opened its doors on September 7, 1936 with Miriam Hopkins in “These Three” along with Walt Disney’s Silly Symphony “Toby Tortoise Returns” (the sequel to the famous “The Tortoise And The Hare” short from the previous year) and a Universal Newsreel.
