The Pastime Theatre was opened on September 3, 1909 screening “Wilbur Wrights' Aeroplane” & “The Leapold Queen”. It was renamed Majestic Theatre on July 30, 1911. On November 13, 1919 following a remodel, it was renamed American Theatre. It received a final rename on April 23, 1928 when it became the Hamly Theatre. That was short lived as it closed in 1929.
In recent years by June 2013 the building was in use as a mattress & rugs store. By 2016 it was office space for Commerce Finance. By May 2022 it was a NV Salon.

Open at least ~1919-~1925? Can anyone verify the exact dates?
Originally called the Majestic Theater. The name was changed to American after it was purchased in 1919 by Foster McSwain.

Uploaded the grand opening ads for American from November 11th, 1919 and the first ad for the Hamly from April 23rd, 1928. The Hamly’s listing stopped in 1929.
This opened as the Pastime Theatre on September 3, 1909 with the films “Wilbur Wrights' Aeroplane” and “The Leapold Queen” along with musical performances by Ms. Ruby Baker on vocals and Ms. Ruth Smootz on piano and a four-piece orchestra that comes along with the program.
It was renamed the Majestic Theatre on July 30, 1911, the American Theatre on November 11, 1919, and the Hamly Theatre on April 23, 1928.
