Twin screen theatre, operated by General Cinemas and located in the Imperial Mall. This opened on June 30, 1972 as the Imperial Mall Cinema I & II. It was renamed Imperial Cinemas during its final years and closed on August 27, 1992.

During Its Last Years In Operation, The Theater Changed Its Name To “Imperial Cinemas” And Closed Its Doors In August 1992.
And No, It Was Not Replaced By The Merchant Walk 10. The Nearby AMC Merchant Walk 10 Opened On June 5th, 1987 And The Imperial Mall Cinema Twin Was Still In Operation At The Time.
Opened on June 30, 1972 with “Last of the Red Hot Lovers” at Screen 1 and “Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes” at Screen 2, and closed on August 27, 1992 with “Pinocchio” (yes the Disney one as a matinee) and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” at Screen 1, and Lethal Weapon 3 at Screen 2 as its last films.
