Sure does Thanks S.S.
Would be nice to have the address, more info and more photos.
Well, how about Spanky’s is at 1 Main St, and Mart’s at 9 Main St. The theater was between those, and right next door to Mart’s today. Let’s call the theater at 7 Main St, and leave it at that. Just take a little searching on Google……
A 1920s “History of Cameron, Marshall County, WV” lists an “Alamo Theatre” on Main St. and says it is the only theatre in the city at that time.
Quote: THEATRE-The Almo Theatre was opened July 1, 1923, in the Loper and Leach building, between Main and Railroad Streets. At present this is the only theatre in the city. Although there is no competition, Mr. C. E. Kuhn, the proprietor, caters only to high class productions such as the First National, Metro, and Producers Companies pictures.
Boxoffice, May 11, 1940: “Cameron - The new theatre which will be opened here at an early date has been named the Rees.”
