The Nu-View Drive-In was opened July 3, 1962 with 3 adult movies:“Girl on the Hi-Way”, Tempest Storm in “Teaserama” & “Ecstasy on Lovers Island”. Car capacity was listed at 600 cars. It was operated by Plitt Theatres.
The drive-in closed in the mid-1980’s and has since been leveled.

This drive-in started out by showing adult movies for its few years before it was taken over by Nace.

This is the place where I remember seeing the 1976 movies, “Hindenburg”, “Midway” and in 1979, “Alien”. One thing I remember about watching movies there was hearing the trains running on the rail line a half mile north of the Nu View.
This opened on July 3rd, 1962. Grand opening ad in the photo section.
Boxoffice, July 2, 1962: “Sam Teller, T&B Enterprises, will open a new 620-car drive-in theatre in Phoenix July 3 to be called the Nu-View. Joe Bronstein has been named manager”
