This discount theatre was located as free standing theatre in a shopping center. It was opened by AMC on December 25, 1969. Each auditorium had 329-seats giving a total seating capacity of 1,316. It operated thru most of the 1980’s.

I used to frequent here as a kid. They used to have double features and show Grindhouse horror moies.
Another theater I went to many times in my youth. I saw Porky’s and Conan the Barbarian here to name a few of the movies I saw here as a teen. I quit going to this theater as much when Westridge mall opened.(now desert sky mall) . Ah, great memories.
This was the first multiplex cinema as well as the first theatre to be built by AMC in the Phoenix area. Christmas Day ad from 1969 in photo section.
