The Northway Drive-In opened on April 1, 1961. It was located on a fourteen acre parcel on South Street, less than a mile from the Canadian border. It had a capacity of 860 cars with a screen measuring 104 by 70 feet.
The opening night feature was "The Glenn Miller Story" starring James Stewart and June Allyson and a big cartoon carnival. Admission was free on opening night.
After the 1985 season the drive-in closed and was replaced by Trans-Border Custom Service which built a warehouse and office building on the site. Now a UPS depot.
