Loews Cineplex opened the 16-screen South Edmonton Cinemas on August 11, 2000. Seating was listed at 3,876 seats. The smallest auditorium seated 161 and the largest seated 486. An UltraAVX screen was added in 2010. The cinemas feature first run attractions in an all stadium seat atmosphere. In May 2024 an IMAX screen was opened in Screen 1 which had originally been one of the UltraAVX screens.

The actual title of this page is “Cineplex Odeon South Edmonton Cinemas”. The first Rec Room location was also opened next door in September 19, 2016 as both of these are owned by Cineplex.
This was actually opened by Loews Cineplex in 2000.
