Located in Goole, Humberside, on Boothferry Road at the corner of Jackson Street, and opposite Carter Street. The Cosy Cinema was opened on 16th December 1912. During the World War I years, it was re-named Picture Palace. In 1917, new owners took over and after alterations were made, it was re-named Carlton Picture House. It had a 15 feet wide proscenium.
The Carlton Picture House was closed on 22nd December 1979. It was converted into a Walker’s Bingo Club, and was last operated as a Top Ten Bingo Club, which closed in 2007. The building was ‘For Sale’ for retail & residential development and was demolished around 2010.

The former cinema was demolished c2010 leaving a vacant lot until work began in 2013.
