Mayberry Drive-In

Construction on the Mayberry Drive-In started in 2007. The drive-in opened on October 19, 2008. Car capacity is listed at 225. The screen tower measures 26'x 60'.

The drive-in also featured a diner that was open year round but the drive-in operated from early-spring thru early-winter. The diner closes in 2015 and the Mayberry Drive-In was closed in 2016.

Owned by Bob Craig and Kathy Gentry, is on 7.5 acres and cost between $350,000 to $450,000.

Has an “AWESOME PLAYGROUND” under the screen.

Amusement Rides to be added in the Spring of 2011:
Kids Boat Ride
Kids F-80 Jet Ride
Tub Of Fun Adults And Kids
King Swing Adults
Scrambler Adults.

The Diner looks sorta like a Stainless Steel Passenger Railroad Car, It had been used in Chesapeake, Virginia.

More info and more photos are always welcome.

That is a pretty good ideal!! You combine the diner/projection booth/concession stand all in one building. The faculty could be used in the winter months!! A few historical overviews I have done, that was done back in the 1950’s-60’s also!!

This would actually be closed now since it closed last year after they lost the diner back in 2015.
