Two lovers were found on the floor making love,A theatre employee found them, a deputy arrested them. Claude Harris and Angela Veale were booked into the Columbia County Detention Center charged with public indeceny.Hey Stupids, ever hear of a Drive-in,if you just have to make it in front of the big screen.
This opened on March 29th, 1996. Grand opening ad posted here.
Even Though this is an Evans Zip code this is basically AUGUSTA, GEORGIA.
Boy, it does.At one time about all our radio ads for coming movies, reel to reel tapes were always on Q.I still have few of the old reel to reel ads.
Just the other day I found some old cassette tapes at my parents' house I recorded from WBBQ when I was a teenager, and one of the djs was giving away tickets to the new Evans 12 Cinemas…time really flies…
“GIT” meant GOT out.Sounds like “DELIVERANCE”.
Glad I git out in 1983,I saw it coming while at GCC.wanting us to close the booth up and let the projectionist go.I wasn’t hired to run film!!!!!
This is the theater that I went to ask to talk to the theater manager about getting some free tickets for my daughter’s high school band. I was told by some kid that the “manager” only comes in a couple of days a week, and he spends his other time going around to all the other chain’s district theaters, helping out with computer problems. The kid told me that, to save the company money, “managers” are cross-trained to perform duties for the company BESIDES running the theater. I just stood there dumbfounded, looking at the kid, repeating “Really? Really?”. Boy, things sure have changed!! And, no, I didn’t get any free movie passes for the band. The kid couldn’t even tell me who to call about it. Said I’d have a snowball’s chance in getting them!
Only been in this one once, summer of 1997 to see that god aweful Batman sequel…….
My son,Sean followed in his dad’s footsteps. Here,He had the biggest smile on his face when hired.Wanted to work the booth but wasn’t quite old enough.
