State Theatre

The State Theatre was a small neighborhood theatre located in the Parkridge community of Knoxville that opened on December 13, 1937 with Bing Crosby in “Pennies From Heaven”. It was across Washington Avenue from Standard Knitting Mills, which was a large textile factory. The theatre closed in 1954. The building is currently part of the offices for Habit for Humanity.
