The Southchase Village Cinemas 7 were launched independently by Lunamar Theater Management, Inc. on June 28, 1991. On May 22, 1992, the venue was downgraded to sub-run, discount $1.50 second-run status as the Southchase Cinemas 7 closing August 30, 1993.

Cobb Theatres picked up the venue on September 3, 1993 as the Cobb Southchase 7. Regal Cinemas purchased Cobb Theatres on July 31, 1997 with the venue retaining its “Cobb” moniker until April 17, 1988 at which time it was renamed as the Regal Southchase 7. Regal closed here on January 25, 2001 in a round of nationwide downsizing.

Touchstar Cinemas, Inc. was formed late in 2001 and reopened here as a first-run house as the Southchase 7 on November 21, 2001. Touchstar would also operate the Sabal Palms 6 in Fort Pierce and the Spring Hill 8. The Southchase 7 venue closed on March 16, 2020 for the COVID-19 pandemic along with the vast majority of other hardtop movie theaters. It resumed operations on June 12, 2020 ahead of many other area theaters. It was still going after its 35th Anniversary.
