The Edwards Anaheim Hills 14 opened on November 19, 1992 with eight screens. The Orange County Register noted that Edwards had previously purchased all of the Mann Theatres in Orange including this one while it was still under construction.
In January of 1997 the Register reported that Edwards planned to add six more screens seating 300 each. Those stadium auditoriums, added to each side of the building, finally opened on December 11, 1998.
In 2001, after Edwards’ bankruptcy, it came under control of Phillip Anschutz and his Oaktree Capitol Management. The theater retained the popular Edwards name although it is under Regal Cinemas banner. It was closed on September 14, 2022 due to the Regal/Cineworld bankruptcy.
It sits vacant in 2024.

@Ron Pierce - Looks like the OC Register article misidentified the location of the Nordstrom Rack store; it moved into the space at 8140 E Santa Ana Canyon Rd, formerly occupied by Stein Mart, adjacent to Target.
The Edwards is in another part of the shopping center, and as of December 2023, is still sitting abandoned and retains all of its exterior signage per Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/xKRjeLn9uF55VKrx5
