The Center Theatre opened January 26, 1946 with Gale Storm in “Forever Yours”. It was located in the Southampton Shopping Center. The Center Theater screened art house movies.
After closing in 1959, it became Lee’s new/used Furniture Store.

In 1955, owned by Neighborhood Theatre, Inc. of Richmond, Virginia.
