Located on Prince Street near the corner of Water Lane. The Essex Theatre Theatre was opened in 1930. It was closed in 1936 and was then renamed New Essex Theatre which closed in 1939. In late-December 1939 following alterations to the plans of architect Edward Francis Sinnott it was reopened as the renamed Daw Theatre. It was closed sometime between spring 1999 and fall 2000.

History of this Theater:
Essex Theater opened in 1930 with 400 seats Essex Theater closed in 1936.
The New Essex opened in 1936, closed in 1938.
The DAW opened in 1939 and closed in 1998. Closing date confirmed by the last operator.
