News About This Theater
- Mar 16, 2013 — Popular Seattle movie theater gets big change
Located in Seattle’s University District, this theater was opened on February 12, 1988 by Seattle’s local Seven Gables Theaters chain. It was acquired by Landmark that same year when Landmark bought Seven Gables. In addition to its ten screens, it has a dessert/espresso bar on an upper level with a view of the projection facilities.
In May 2012, Robert Redford’s Sundance Cinemas took over the Metro 10 Cinemas and began a major renovation of the cinema. AMC took over in 2017.
