This started life as a twin known as the Mountain Valley Mall Cinemas I & II in the 1970s although I cannot find its grand opening date yet. The theater became a quad when two more screens were added in July 1984.
I worked at this theatre from 1997 until 2010. One of the best jobs I ever had. Small, home-town theatre, first-run films. Personally, I still prefer seeing a movie in a multiplex like this than in a major chain that has been refurbed to include the recliners and all that jazz. Not beautiful, not luxurious – just a great theatre to see a movie and enjoy yourself.
