The Studio 82 Cinema in Calgary opened on June 17, 1966. The single-screen house, which seated 499, was taken over in 1984 by Famous Players and then was closed in 1986.
It became a bar.

According to the current Google street view, the Studio 82 has long since been converted into a restaurant and bar since it closed for movies. The Studio 82’s website is located here:

Also of note, Edmonton also had an “Studio 82” cinema.
Doors at Studio 82 bar closed June 2014, now Trap & Gill.
Since converted to a brewpub called Bitter Sisters Brew Company.
