The 2,900-seat, all-digital Southcenter 16 opened on July 18, 2008.
William Arnold of the Seattle Post-Intellingencer said “It may just be the most lavish and awe-inspiring cathedral of moviegoing to be constructed in the Seattle area since the movie-palace era of the late-1920’s.”

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe this was the last 16-plex AMC built (as of 15 years later in 2023).
There’s a handful of theatres this size that were built more recently that AMC has acquired, but all AMC builds post-2008 that I can find seem to be a 12-plex or smaller.
AMC opened an 24-Plex on March 28, 2008 in Toronto.
@CinemaEnthusiast. Yes this was the last 16 plex and rivest266 is correct in the Younge and Dundas 24 was built after (AMC commitment for over 10 years before it was built) last 13+ that was built and opened by AMC I believe was Plaza Bonita 14 in 2008. After that yes AMC focused on 8-12plexs.
