According to the Logansport Tribune archives, the Ark Theatre opened on April 17, 1907. Their advertisement read: “Ladies and children are cordially invited to the Ark Theatre. No picture will be shown that can possibly offend the most refined".
After the Roxy Theatre opened in 1934 the Ark Theatre was advertised as a dime house, leaving the first-runs to the Roxy Theatre, Logan Theatre, and Paramount Theatre. The Ark Theatre was listed in the Film Daily Year Book of 1945 with 240 seats and dropped out of the local listings in 1946.
It was the second building from the northwest corner of 4th Street and E. Broadway, which is a parking lot today.
