Located in Dun Laoghaire to the south of Dublin. The Kingstown Picture House was opened 17th April 1911 in a former restaurant building. In the 1920’s a circle was added and the seating capacity was increased to 400. By 1934 it was operated by Associated Picture Houses Ltd. It had a 20ft wide proscenium and was equipped with a British Thomson-Houston(BTH) sound system. It was re-named Picture House. It was taken over by Odeon (Ireland) Ltd. in the late-1940’s and was closed. It re-opened as the Tatler Cinema in the early-1950’s and finally closed in 1962. It became a dance hall followed by use as a bank.

The cinema opened on 17 April 1911 in former restaurant premises and was altered in the 1920s to include a gallery and bring the capacity up to 400 people. The Kingstown in the name was later dropped when the town reverted back to Dun Laoghaire. It passed from Associated Picture Houses to Odeon (Ireland) in the late 1940s and was closed. It reopened as the Tatler around 1950 giving it another decade or so of life. It closed in 1962 and was later dance-hall and then a bank.
