The 900-seat Uptown Theatre was opened prior to 1937. In 1941 the Uptown Theatre was operated by Paramount Pictures Inc. through their subsidiary Joe Cooper. Listed in the Film Daily Yearbook of 1950 as seating 775. It had closed by 1957.

Boxoffice, Dec. 15, 1956: “Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Kelloff have taken over the 800-seat Uptown in Pueblo and will operate it. The house has been operated the past 25 years by the Cooper Foundation Theatres.”
Colorado Springs Gazette-Telegraph, Aug. 11, 1968: The Rialto there was reopened by “Mitchell Kelloff, owner of the Uptown theatre in Pueblo and the Valley theatre in Fowler. … Kelloff has owned the Uptown theatre in Pueblo since October 1956.”
