AMC Classic Altoona 12

The 2,400-seat Carmike 12, near the Blair County Convention Center in the south Altoona district of Duncansville, opened on October 2, 2015. All proceeds for the previous Thursday night charity event benefited the Fort Roberdeau Association.

The BigD screen, with its premium large screen format (PLF), seats 450 and features a screen over 70 feet wide and three stories tall. Other technical amenities include a custom QSC digital audio system tuned to a 7.1 speaker array with 16 channels, upgradeable to 11. Quad-amplified, 4-way speakers, and 21-inch subwoofers support the digital audio processing. A cutting-edge Christie Brilliant 3-D flash projector that also presents 2-D entertainment powers the BigD. This is a light output of 30,000 lumens, creating a picture quality with noticeably higher resolution than HD.

An expanded concession menu consists of hot food plus beer and wine for the 21 years of age and older crowd.
