Correction – The Frankston Starlite Village Drive-in was at the northeastern corner of Skye Road and Frankston Freeway.
Opened on 5/12/1956 and closed on 29/7/1988. 700 cars. Orginally called Starlight Stan Drive-in for a short time.
This drive-in was used in a car chase scene in the movie “Alvin rides again”.
Built and operated by former Melbourne Lord Mayor Sir Frank Selleck. Managed by Lloyd Worland. After the 2nd screen was added in 1982, the name was changed to Village Twin Drive-in.
