Village Cinemas opened up in Karingal, a neighborhood of Frankston, in 2005, replacing the two twin Village Cinemas in central Frankston which closed around the same time. The Karingal Village Cinemas are part of the Karingal Hub Shopping Centre, built as part of a precinct known as “Star Zone”.
As part of a major redevelopment of the shopping centre in 2022, the area was renamed “Karingal Town Square”, with additional restaurants complimenting the cinemas.
