The Showtown USA Twin Drive-In was opened as a double-screen in 1969. A third screen was added in 1974, but it was not enough to save the drive-in which closed in 1981 after just 12 years.
Today, all that remains is the outline of the ramps from one of the three screens. The Cinema 5 was built on the site, opening in December 1983 (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures).

although faint it appears that the ramps from all three theater screens still stand!
Opened as the Showtown USA Twin Drive-In and became the Showtown USA 3 Drive-In
Last operated by the Texas Cinema Corporation. During its last years of operation, the Cinema 6 was already operating by the same chain next to the drive-in, and shortly after the Showtown USA Triple Drive-In’s 1981 closure and demolition, Plitt Theatres would build their Cinema 5 on the site of the Showtown.
