This was the the first multi screen movie theatre in Redwood City, California. It opened in 1982 as a United Artist Theatre. It was located next to the 101 Freeway and was behind K-Mart. There was also a shopping center across the street with stores like Mervyns, Big 5 Sports and Toys-R-Us. It was closed in 1998 due to competition from the twelve plex on the opposite side of the freeway.

This multiplex was the go-to for my family from 1982 until 1990 and I would say 70% of our movie-going during this period was here. The main competition was the Old Mill 6 in Mountain View and the Fashion Island 6 in Foster City, and the Palo Alto Square.
