When Syufy Enterprises tore down their Redwood 4 Drive-In, they built the Century Park 12 on the site in the 1990. Located in the Centennial district to the north of Downtown. It opened May 18, 1990. When Cinemark took over the Century Theatres, it was open for one year after they built the Century 20 in downtown Redwood City, this theatre wasn’t part of the Cinemark deal. They were only booking it and the city made them keep it open till downtown theatre was up and running. It was sold to make room for condo’s and shopping mall and was demolished in December 2024.

It’s still there behind the car dealership. It has those faux dome style buildings. The yelp reviews for this theater say it was a hot mess and just plagued with teenagers.
At one point this was the busiest Century Theatre, even busier than the Mountain View 10/16.
To save on taxes the projection booth consisted of 10 huts on the roof, connected by catwalks. Was absolutely bizarre.
The theatre is not demolished.
This opened on May 18th, 1990. Grand opening ad in the photo section.
Per Alphabet Maps, as of 2022 it is still NOT demolished! Just another abandoned structure like Century Plaza South San Francisco…Stay tuned.
They just started demolishing them in November 2024!
Per Google maps it is still not demolished despite the above comments! The 8 large domestic are there as well as the huge parking lot. Opened 1990 closed 2004 the abandoned building has been abandoned longer than it’s been open! Please update.
As somebody who works for the company who owns the property, it is definitely demolished.
Also, if you put google street view on Highway 101 you can see an empty lot very clearly.
