The New Elite Theater was opened on August 19, 1912 with the photoplay “St George and the Dragon”. It was run as a movie theater until May 16, 1925. By 1926, Fidelity Federal Savings Bank moved into the building and remodeled it twice, one time in 1950 and the second time in the 1970’s, erasing all the elements of the former movie theater.
