Opened on December 13, 1985 by Litchfirld Theatres. It was taken over by United Artists Theatres in 1990.
Carmike Cinemas purchased the theater from First International Theatres in June 1997 and on May 12, 1999 doubled the number of screens to 12. During the summer of 2004 its remaining six slope auditoriums were converted to stadium seating.
The theater is located about three and a half miles from Carmike’s Manhattan Town Center 13, which opened December 15, 2016. On December 16, the Seth Childs 12 switched to second-run movies. It was closed March 15, 2018. It is now Rock Hills Church.
