The 4-screen Spurling Group Cinemas opened in 2005 and features Sony 4K projection and Dolby Digital surround sound in all screens and also offers screenings in Real3D. It was reported the first in Ireland to convert to full digital projection. The cinema also presents live ballet and theatre and is able to cater for corporate events. It was run by the Spurling family who operated the previous cinema in the town, the Ormonde Cinema.
In the early-2020’s it was taken over by the Spurling’s Movies @ chain.
