Located in Bagenalstown, County Carlow. The Palace Cinema was in operation in the 1920’s, and was reopened following alterations to enlarge the house on October 1930. At the time it had been acquired by the actor Mark Wynne but was later run by Harry Brown. Dramas and dances were also held here and Fridays were benefit nights for the poor. It closed in April 1940 when Brown opened the Astor Cinema next door.
