Alamo Drafthouse Corpus Christi opened February 6, 2017, and donated the proceeds from 590 admissions to charity. The Caller-Times noted the films were “The Princess Bride”, “Jurassic Park”, “Jaws”, “Dirty Dancing”, and “Shaun of the Dead”. The rest of the week, until the grand opening on February 10, was devoted to some popular releases from late-2016.
In addition to regular movie snacks, the theatre offers Pizza, Salads, burgers, cocktails, wine, and 48 beers on tap.
The 7-screen, 700-seat theater will continue the company’s no texting, no talking, admission to 18 years or older only policy.
