Operated by United Artists, this opened with three-screens on July 8, 1977. On August 5, 1983 it expanded to a six-screen theatre. It was closed on the first week of May 1997. In 1998 the building was converted into a CompUSA store which closed in 2007. In 2011 a Youfit Health Club took over the building.

I can tell you that in the mid to late 80’s it was a discount house. I think it was only on Tuesday but it may have been the whole week.

The UA Capitol actually closed during the first week of May 1997.
