The Picture House was in business by 1923, the earliest Kine Year Book available to the Cinema Theatre Association, although I expect it was open much earlier than this. It had a RCA sound system and 600 seats and is last listed in 1961. It was previously run by J.E. McDermott but later by Maurice Baum who ran the Roxy Cinema in Albert Avenue.
