The Arc Cinema

This 3 screen cinema originally opened in the early-1990’s as the Savoy Cineplex later known as the Wexford Cineplex.

The cinema part of the Ward-Anderson group closed in July 2008 following the opening of the new 1,600 seat Omniplex in Drinagh.

The cinema then lay empty for almost 10 years before being renovated and refurbished by Melcorpo Commercial Properties Ltd., new owners of the Redmond Square Shopping Centre.

The cinema’s three screens seat 148, 85 and 52.

The Arc Cinema reopened on August 3, 2017 with a special preview screening of the film “Valerian” for 140 winners of a competition organised to celebrate the reopening.

Opened to the general public the following day 4 August 2017. In its previous guise as the Savoy, closure was on Sunday 29 June 2008.
