The C & L Plex is a luxury five-screen cinema inside a leisure complex that includes a bowling alley, casino and a childrens’ play area known as the Minnows. When it first opened as the Flix Cinema in December 2011, Roscommon was believed to be the only county in Ireland without a cinema. It was no sooner open before it was closed in January 2013 when the operators went into liquidation. In December 2014 it was announced that a company called Cinema and Leisure would be reopening the complex and it did so in February 2015. There are arcade games on the ground floor and pool tables and air hockey on the mezzanine level.
Back in the day films were also shown in the Harrison Hall in the town, a former 17th-century sessions house, which also served as a courthouse, market house, dance hall and billiard hall. It was taken over by Omniplex Cinemas on 9th August 2019.

According to the Roscommon Herald, the C & L Plex was taken over by Omniplex on 8th August 2019. On 5th August the previous owners had announced that they were closing the doors with immediate effect. The paper also reported that Omniplex planned to reopen the cinema on 9th August.
