Located in Birr, County Offaly. This lofty looking cinema stretching along the roadside is first listed in the 1932 edition of the Kine Year Book and was run by William Murphy. It had 500 seats and was equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system, later RCA and BTP sound system’s. It is still listed in the Kine Year Book for 1971 but today it has been converted into a garage which still bears the Murphy name.
