Located in Birr, County Offaly. Run by the Roscrea & Athy Cinema Company, the New Cinema had 500 seats and was equipped with a Philips, later RCA, sound system. It is first listed in the 1949 Kine Year Book and is still listed in the 1971 edition of the Book. The building was recently occupied by a shopfitters business.
