One of several Peoria area drive-ins, most of which were part of the Kerasotes chain, the Holiday opened in 1965. It could accomodate about 1200 cars. The drive-in closed by the mid-80s and was demolished in the early 90s to make way for a shopping center.

I think the Holiday was partially destroyed due to a tornado in the mid-80’s. Not sure when it was completely razed though.

The address on this one is not right. I do not know what it was I beleive it was at the junction of US 150 and SR 91 (now hotels) I am definitely certain it was not in the middle of downtown Peoria as the address listed would place it.

adm22……you r right holiday was way out somewhere ..i was last there as a small kid in early 70s
Approx. location for this drive-in is now 5101 W Holiday Drive. It will map correctly to where the theatre stood. Now a shopping center.
According to the display ads the drive-in was located at 5107 W. Holiday Drive, Peoria, IL. 61602
I use to live right next to the exit of the drive in. I also worked their during the summers. To start off our address was 7251 War Memorial Drive. or we could have used 7251 W. Route 150. From my understanding about the drive in bad weather had came through and damaged the screen. Instead of fixing it too expensive, they put it up for sale. The reason why they gave the address on Jefferson is because the office for Kerasotas Theater was at the Rialto building. My cousin, Frank Larkin was the district manager.
