The Paramount Theatre was opened on August 22, 1935 with Rudy Vallee in “Sweet Music” & Marian March in “In Spite of Danger”. Façade remodeled in 1951 and it closed in 1957. Became appliance store in the 1960’s. Building is still standing.

Not to be confused with the other Paramount Theatre which opened in May 1999 and is now Scotiabank Theatre Toronto on Richmond Street. (It has its own page on Cinema Treasures).
