Wheeling’s first movie theater since the Wheeling Twin Drive-In closed in the mid-1990’s, the CMX CinéBistro Wheeling opened on February 12, 2020 at the new Wheeling Town Center. The seven screen, 624-seat venue is CMX’s second theater to open in Illinois, after their location at Old Orchard shopping center in Skokie.
Each auditorium features leather reclining seats with swing back tables for food and drink, as well as a large bar and lounge and a game area. The theater will be open only to adults 21 and over after 8PM. It was taken over by Cinergy Entertainment Group Inc. in July 2022.
