The Star Drive-In was opened by 1950 when it was operated by J. Gold, Gold & Coelan. By 1952 it was operated by Earl Beckworth & the Blatt Brothers Circuit. It was closed by Cinemette in 1985.

The Yorktown Centre Plaza is in its spot now.

The Star Drive-In opened on June 29th, 1946 as the first drive-in in the Erie region. Grand opening ad posted.
