The Broadway Theatre was opened in 1925. By 1941 it had been renamed Royal Theatre and it continued until closing in 1953. In 2021 it was a Battaglia & Aly men’s clothing store.

Theatre permit revoked
The municipal authority has just revoked the Royal Theatre’s operating permit on Saint-Laurent Boulevard due to numerous violations of the municipal by-law prohibiting the admission of children under 16 into movie theaters.
