Located in the Evans-Sheridan Plaza (later renamed Peace Arrow Plaza) at the intersection of Sheridan Drive and Evans Street, Williamsville, to the northeast of Buffalo, NY. The Evans Theatre was first inaugurated on March 3, 1972 with Twiggy in “The Boyfriend”. It was operated by Dipson Theatres. Cinemette Theatres took control on January 26, 1973, then on January 26, 1976, they sold it to new management, who instituted an art film policy that included pornographic films at midnight. On May 31st, 1985, it became The Movies, then on February 7th, 1986 renamed Williamsville Cinema and closed on May 31st, 1986.
