The AMC Merchants Crossing 16 opened its doors on May 17, 1996 with the installations of Sony Dynamic Digital Sound systems and two ATM ticket stations.
The theatre was closed on September 28, 2022 due to FanDango not showing any listings possibly (or probably) due to the devastation of Hurricane Ian. It was reopened on November 3, 2022.

Please update, total seats 2,233 and this is one of the rare theatres not having stadium seating since it opened after the AMC Grand 24 and have old school AMC seating. For a short time this was considered AMC CLASSIC brand.
