Located in Lyon, to the north of Clarksdale. The Skylark Drive-In opened its gates on July 7, 1950 with James Stewart in “You Gotta Stay Happy” with no extra short subjects.

In the early-1970’s, the Skylark Drive-In officially became a mainly adult drive-in which immediately faced major attention on the papers throughout much of the first and second-half of the 1970’s. At the time, Elmer Wright was the manager of the theatre. Jury officials say that they want to either erect higher fence or relocate the screen to the other side. Unfortunately, they have no choice but to close the theatre in 1975.

The drive-in sat on the SE corner of the intersection. The original entrance is gone thanks to the highway being expanded.

Today, you can still see parch marks from the ramps on the property. You can still see part of the foundation for the concession stand/projection booth. It partially sits under another building that was constructed on top.
