Shaw Theatres Nex

Located on the fourth floor of Nex Shopping Mall at Serangoon Central, the 10-screen Shaw Theatres Nex opened for business on 2nd December 2010, comprising of 8 regular halls and 2 Premiere halls (opened in early-2011), which are Shaw Theatres’s first luxury theatre concept and also the first premium priced halls to open in a suburban location in Singapore. Five of the halls were 3D-enabled, which is the most number of 3D halls in Singapore at that time.

The cinema was closed on 30th August 2020 for more than six months due to a dislodged air conditioning duct at Hall 6 during an afternoon screening of Christopher Nolan’s movie “Tenet”. Rectifications and enhancements were made and it subsequently reopened on 18 March the following year.
